When asked to complete the member spotlight, Megan chose the question: What is your favorite travel destination and why?
I am going to Egypt this spring for a yoga retreat and I can probably already guess this will be my favorite travel destination! I have a great respect for the culture and history that lie in this part of the world and I can't wait to experience its beauty.
Megan's Professional Biography
Megan Fulara is the Assistant City Administrator/Human Resources Director for the City of Crest Hill. She is a member of the Illinois Public Employer Labor Relations Association and regularly speaks on performance management at the nationally recognized training for new supervisors. She holds the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute.
Megan's career has included executive positions in county, state, and municipal government. She served as the Chief of Staff for an elected official and Community Outreach Liaison for the Illinois Attorney General. She is a polished public administrator skilled in diplomacy and board relations. She believes in employee empowerment, giving both supervisors and staff the tools they need to succeed through goal setting and performance management.
Megan received her Bachelor's degree from Bradley University where she double majored in Political Science and Journalism. She earned her Master's in Public Administration from the University of Illinois Springfield. Megan grew up in Park Ridge, Illinois and currently resides just outside the City of Chicago in Oak Park. She is a dedicated fitness enthusiast and yoga practitioner. Megan regularly performs at live lit and storytelling events in the Chicagoland area treating listeners to personal tales and witty observations.
