Emily has served as the Human Resources Manager for the City of Highland Park since 2010 where she is involved in all aspects of Human Resources including labor relations and negotiations, employee relations, benefits management, training and development and compensation. Prior to joining the public sector and the City of Highland Park, Emily worked in Human Resources for a private manufacturing firm and has also worked in various capacities in the airline and pre-employment testing industries.
Emily holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Eastern Illinois University and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. A member of various human resources associations including NISHRM and SHRM, Emily holds several certifications including Certified Labor Relations Professional, Senior Professional in Human Resources and SHRM Senior Certified Professional. Emily currently serves as Chairperson of IPELRA’s Finance Committee.
